As president and CEO of Intelligent Evolution, Inc., a full-service information technology company in Alexandria, Virginia, George Valenzuela oversees all aspects of the company’s marketing, sales, management and operations. Intelligent Evolution specializes on the areas of design and development of websites, search engine optimization, custom software solutions, database management, VOIP services and social media. Intelligent Evolution’s clientele ranges from trade and professional associations, the federal government, and private businesses.


Debby Critchley

Debby is a graduate of Case Western Reserve and the University of Nebraska. She has lived in Alexandria since 1986 and has held several careers. Currently, she consults as a Proposal Manager and Technical Writer/Editor for government contractors. She writes the Food News and Eatz, two columns in the Zebra newspaper. She is also the Senior Editor of the paper. She loves being a part of the Alexandria Community.


Mary Ann Burstein

As a resident of the City of Alexandria for over 24 years, Mary Ann Burstein is a passionate advocate for all Alexandria has to offer. Mary Ann serves Northern Virginia as a local volunteer and an active REALTOR®.


Abel Girmay

Abel is a Vice President and Relationship Manager with M&T Bank in Business and Professional Banking, with over twelve years of experience. As a relationship manager, he works with local business owners to provide relationship-focused banking solutions unique to each client, industry, and growth goals, including making key connections among the individuals and organizations in his trusted network. Businesses thrive in active communities, and therefore Abel emphasizes long-term relationships and community involvement.


Tonya Chappell

More than 20 years in the banking industry, all at Burke & Herbert, Tonya motivates and manages staff on marketing/sales techniques to reach goals, initiates and participates in effective customer acquisition and retention practices, creates and sustains a positive branch office culture and work atmosphere.

Anna is a storyteller. It’s what drew her to journalism. She owns Alejo Media and she and her team have turned their passion into a mission to learn your company’s story, and craft a unique video that fits you. As owner of Alejo Media she works to make your vision become a reality.

As President and operator of ECCA Payroll company, Joel is a long-time resident of Alexandria’s West End. He has substantial business knowledge and is involved in many networking opportunities.

Paul Friedman is the Director of Sales and Marketing for Alexandria’s Zebra newspaper. At the same time, he’s developing a non-profit called Safer Country that will work to ensure that all prohibited persons, including an estimated hundreds of thousands of convicted criminals, are entered into the national background check system for gun purchases.


Christopher Burton

Chris has been working at Kinneman Insurance for 12 years. Offering home, auto and business insurance, Chris consults with clients to find the right coverages to fit their needs. He looks forward to cultivating and growing more relationships through networking.
